It was Deep Purple’s album Machine Head that set Chris Osterman, guitarist and lead singer of Iron Kingdom, on his musical career path.

“I listened to it over and over again,” he said. “That was what made me realize guitar was my instrument.”

The album made Osterman search for other groups with a similar impact on him. Iron Kingdom’s music is influenced by heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and the Scorpions.

“We’re a very old-school type of band,” said Osterman.

Osterman said the band members will put a lot of passion into their performance.

“It’s kind of like a go-big-or-go-home mentality,” said Osterman.

Iron Kingdom has created three albums and Osterman said fans can expect to hear a mix from over the years.

The latest album is Ride For Glory, which the band created after a European tour.

“We were just experiencing all this history … and we were so amazed by it,” said Osterman.
