The Seeds and Salt Theatre Company will perform their latest production in Qualicum Beach at the Museum.

The Qualicum Beach Museum isn’t resting on its fundraising laurels.

Fresh off a successful golf tournament, they’re already gearing up for their next event — and it should give enquiring minds much to feast on, says museum manager Natanja Waddell.

“We are having another visit by the Seeds and Salt Theatre Company from Bamberton on July 7 and 8,” she said. “They are a travelling theatre company that goes up and down Vancouver Island performing four stories enacted by four actors.”

The show, entitled, Bedtime Stories, Dreaming of Vancouver Island, includes four tales: A Pittance of a Remittance, The Bride Ships, Strathcona 100 and The Chocolate Bar War.

“The stories are hilariously and movingly told by four actors using minimal props and they challenge our imagination,” Waddell said. “Their show was quite popular last year, but we only had one night. This year we have two nights, with the performance outside under the gazebo and the audience sitting under a tent.”

The museum is printing 100 tickets — 50 per night — and they will be available for $10 each at the museum and the Qualicum Beach Visitors Centre.
