Singer Jann Arden will return to the Okanagan after a five year absence to perform for the Kelowna MapleFest event on March 29 at Kelowna Community Theatre.
The MapleFest is put on by the Centre culturel francophone de l’Okanagan, which operates a cultural centre at 702 Bernard Ave. in downtown Kelowna.
With 11 albums to her name and 17 top 10 hits,Arden is one of Canada’s most honoured with many notable distinctions and awards, including eight Juno Awards.
In 2006, the SOCAN awarded her the National Achievement Award for having had six songs broadcasted more than 100,000 on Canadian radio stations. That same year, she received her star on the Canadian Walk of Fame in Toronto.
Following the Concert, the party continues at the Community Theatre Black Box to the sounds of DJ Eric Lenger (Dîner en Blanc Okanagan, El Masquerado, C’est Extra Vancouver!).
Pierre-Philippe Bibeau, a Radio-Canada television journalist, will be the official master of ceremony of the Kelowna MapleFest.

The Okanagan French Cultural Centre will present the 35th annual Kelowna Maplefest on March 29 and 30. MapleFest is a culture packed festival where you can immerse yourself in arts, music, food and activities for the entire family. The main goal of the MapleFest is to offer families an event where they can come together, share and discover the maple Canadian culture.
Saturday, March 30, during the day people can come celebrate and be entertained with free outdoors art classes, expositions, dance, music and performances, and enjoy the many maple syrup treats that will be served. Then, at night-time, the public can attend the Jann Arden concert and dance the night away to the sounds of DJ Eric Lenger at the after party.
Sunday, the festivities continue with the traditional ‘maple sugar shack’ brunch and a special screening of the Quebec production movie Louis Cyr.
