Indigo Jazz appears monthly at the Zocalo Café, and to the great delight of the trio, the first Friday of May lands just two days prior to Mother’s Day.
Coincidentally, an extraordinarily high percentage of those who love jazz have mothers, and a capacity crowd is expected for this Friday’s show, starting at 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
Dale Graham, Rick Husband, and John Hyde create beautiful jazz with a sense of humour.
Graham’s conversational singing voice is complemented by Husband’s tasty phrasing on the guitar, and the precision and warmth of Hyde’s acoustic bass. Their performance offers the pleasurable familiarity of classic jazz standards alongside the pleasurable discovery of unfamiliar tunes and arrangements.
The Zocalo Café is licensed, and offers hearty meals and mouth-watering desserts to add to your musical experience. Get your Mother’s Day weekend off to a swinging start with Indigo Jazz this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
