A Toronto-based Jazz Quintet, The Cookers, is visiting The Globe (April 25) as part of their tour or Western Canada.
The band has Nanaimo connections as tenor saxophonist Ryan Oliver and bass player Alex Coleman are both alumni of Vancouver Island University’s jazz program.
The Cookers show starts at 9 p.m. For people who can’t get there in person it will also be broadcast live on CHLY radio.
