Penticton musician Steve Jones is back with a new album and a new band, and he’s going to introduce them to local audiences Saturday night.
“I released a new CD this year, Pictures, my 2011 release,” said Jones. “It’s my third studio album.”
The concert will also feature his new band, which includes Bob Grenoski on bass and Blair Kennedy on guitar, along with Monica Jones.
“And I’ve got Akapita Haupapa on drums, he’s a mainstay in Penticton,” said Jones. The concert will also include a guest appearance by Justin Glibbery, who played keyboard for six tracks on the new album.
“The album is reflective. The title track itself, Pictures, does pull on past experiences,” said Jones. “I am quite vague about it, but it is autobiographical.”
The Opus Cafe opens at 7 p.m. on May 28 for the concert, which begins at 8 p.m. in the Cannery Theatre. Tickets are available at the Wine Country Visitor Centre or call 250-493-4055 to reserve.
