His music can be heard on the airwaves across the country and Jordan Klassen will be brining his soft yet symphonic indie tunes to Parksville next week.
The musician who is well on his way to becoming a beloved West Coast musical talent is getting a reputation for bringing it during his live shows.
Arbutus Events is presenting the all-ages show on June 26 at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre (PCCC) and event promoter Megan Olsen said they are lucky the up and coming musician agreed to perform here.
“He really is on the brink of making it big. He just had two unreleased songs on MTV’s Teen Wolf series,” she said.
Olsen said it was her daughter who got her to listen to the performer on YouTube and she was blown away by his talent.
“I posted on his Facebook page about coming to do a show in Parksville and he got back to me right away,” she revealed.
Klassen will be joined by special guest Christopher Arruda.
Most recently, Klassen made the top 20 artists for the 2012 Peak Performance Project.

Klassen makes music built out of pure imagination and has an alluring voice, laid upon beds of shimmering strings, caressed guitar, and coaxing percussion.
His latest work Kindness, a four song EP, introduces rich and full-bodied singing alongside his now ubiquitous falsetto.
The first single from the EP, the ukulele-led Go To Me has been critically celebrated, and described as a cinematic pop rocker.
His music is gracefully dramatic enough to be featured in Catch .44, a 2011 film starring Bruce Willis and Forrest Whitaker.
Other Klassen creations have found their way onto television series’ including Royal Pains, and the late 90’s TV show Felicity.
Opening performer Christopher Arruda has a sound described as honest and heart wrenching.
Influenced by the likes of Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Sufjan Stevens, Rachel Yamagata and Sarah Slean, his sound strikes a chord somewhere between pop, rock and folk music.
He strives to connect with his audiences through unbridled passion and a captivating presence at one moment delivering a boisterous shout and the next a soft whisper.
His performances are bold and varied with the goal of creating inspiring soundscapes that are honest and true.
Tickets for the all ages show are $20 each or get a 4-pack for just $70 at Shades of Green, The PCCC and Cranky Dog Music in Parksville.
Concession proceeds go to Parksville’s Helix Dance Theatre company.
Doors to the concert open at 7:30 and show starts at 8 p.m. on June 26 at the PCCC.
