Christmas Gift Show
This Invitational Christmas Gift Show features unique and original artworks by many local and regional artists and artisans.
The annual Christmas Gift Show in the Gallery at Centre 64, this year featuring the work of 16 invited artists and artisans, opened November 22.
A children’s Christmas market will be set up in the adjoining Studio 64 during the reception where small gift items suitable for children to buy as presents will be featured.
Proceeds from this market will go towards the “Give Us A Lift” Campaign.

In the Spirit of Giving
Cranbrook Arts invite you to celebrate the season with local art. The gallery at 1013 Baker St is extremely proud to be displaying work from many of our local artists, more than ever before in fact. Not only is the gallery well stocked with paintings and photography but felted wool, wood products, jewelry and pottery also adorn the shelves. Featured artists for the months of November and December are Sharon and Joseph Cross. The Gallery will be open ‘til 8:30pm on the evening of November 25th to help celebrate the Santa Claus Parade and Light Up and for the next few Fridays and Saturdays only, you may be lucky in finding a bargain-priced piece of Twice Loved Art in our Weekend Kitchen Sale.
Roller Derby 101 in November
Roller Derby 101. Learn to skate and join the fun. Information nights to meet the team and learn about roller derby are scheduled for:

• Monday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m., at the Ktunaxa Nation Council gym in Cranbrook.

Home Grown Coffee House
Kimberley ‘s Home Grown Music Coffee House will be on Saturday Nov 26th ,at Centre 664. The show starts at 8 pm sharp and doors open at 7:30 pm. This will be the annual Food Bank Performance, donations of non-perishable food items would be appreciated. All proceeds from this show go to help the Helping Hands Food Bank Christmas campaign. Appearing on stage; Steppin’Out Dancers; Old Spice; Dean Smith Quartet; Beth and Doug Crawley; Barry Garland & Charlie Harding; Daniel Bailey; Darin Welch and Bill St Amand will MC the evening.

Rock of Ages
Mount Baker Wild Theatre students present Rock of Ages (High School Edition), s a jukebox musical comedy with a host of familiar tunes by Steve Perry, Poison, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Joan Jett and a host of others. Jared Adams as Drew and Jelena Jensen as Sherrie are two kids with a dream of making it in LA in the ‘80s. Alexander Gilmour is Dennis Dupree, the ex-rocker-turned-owner of the Bourbon Room; Preston Gramm is his faithful bartender Lonny; TJ Moulton is Stacee Jaxx, the once-on-top-of-the-world rocker on his way out, Maria Bolio is Justice, owner of the Venus Room dance club and Isabella Fiorentino is rock activist Anita Bath. Suzanne Coulter and Cedar Gross feature as Hilda and Franz Klinemann, a German mother and son duo who set out to repurpose Sunset Strip into a typically commercial wonderland.
It’s a fun show with a live band on stage! Come on out and even dress up in your favourite ‘80s rocker outfits. It’s a good time out with the friends and coworkers (make a staff party of it). Rock of Ages High School Edition plays November 24-26 at 7:30 and November 27 at 2:30. Tickets are $18/$15 for students and seniors. Symphonic Christmas
The Symphony of the Kootenays is offering two performances of its second concert of the 2016/17 season — “Stealing Back the Holidays” — set for Saturday, Dec. 3 (7:30 p.m.), and Sunday, Dec. 4 (3 p.m.), both at the Key City Theatre in Cranbrook. The program includes: Winter from Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons (featuring SOTK Associate Concertmaster Jeremy vanDieman); Christmas favourites featuring Nelson singer Allison Girvan; and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” by Dr. Seuss and Albert Hague, featuring Michael Jones and choir.

Sun Valley Song presents “Songs for the Season”
Saturday December 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday December 11 at 2:30 p.m. Sun Valley Song joyously presents “Songs of the Season” as part of your Christmas Season. It may be winter but the Kootenay’s obsession with camping goes all year long! A young man goes missing from a provincial campground while on a personal journey to discover himself. Four people are suspects, despite lack of evidence aside from Facebook posts and the video from the young man’s cell phone, the overzealous detective is undeterred. Was there foul play? More importantly, did someone remember to bring the toilet paper (and the potato salad)? Lucas Myers brings his trademark brand of observational humor and brilliant character work to this examination of the world within a world that can only be found in the CAMPGROUND.
