It’s the KSS Grad Fashion Show, hitting the runway April 24, giving a sneak peak of the hottest fashions from regional stores including Nanaimo. Co-ordinator Mimi Shewchuk said it will be a great event to attend while offering local support.
“People can see spring and summer outfits and participate in the silent auction, there are some great deals to be had,” she said by e-mail, adding, “And they can support the school we all fought so hard to keep.”
There will be 40 students modeling the clothes from 25 different stores. Students will be performing MC duties and music, and there will be a chocolate concession and refreshments.
The event will be held at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre, doors open at 6 and the show starts at 7 p.m. Proceeds will support the grad student’s prom, dinner and dry grad celebrations.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for seniors or children under 12, and they can be purchased at Arbutus Emporium and Smithfords in Qualicum Beach. — Lissa Alexander
