Every Monday, a dedicated group of artists gather together to work on their craft, inside the Agassiz United Church.
And once a year, they put that work on display for their annual show.
This year, that show will be on Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no featured artist this year, however the show will be dedicated to a member who recently passed away.
“We are holding the show for Linda Lambkin,” said painter Lynda Anderson. “It will be in her memory.”
Lambkin was only a member of the decades-old group for the last few years, but in the short time she was with the group, she’s made a lasting memory.
Six of her pieces will be on display, including the one shown here. Another piece that was recently purchased by a private buyer will be brought to the show for display.
A short biography will also be on display, describing Lambkin’s interests in the arts through her life.
The Agassiz Monday Painters annual show and sale includes a raffle draw, refreshments and a chance to vote for your favourite pieces.
