Night Café wraps up concert series at Rose Gellert Hall with an evening of jazz

Langley Community Music School’s (LCMS) Concerts Café Classico 2013 Season concludes with a Night Café featuring BJ Block on guitar, Sam Cartwright on drums, Ray Pullen on guitar, and Timothy Stacey on bass.

It happens this Friday, May 3, in Rose Gellert Hall.

Coffee and commentary are hosted before the concert with the school’s artistic director of concerts. Elizabeth Bergmann at 7 p.m., followed by the performance at 8 p.m.

“The evening jazz café is a wonderfully upbeat way to end our season,” says Bergmann.

“The quartet of LCMS faculty colleagues will play a diverse program of works by Oscar Pettiford, Steve Swallow, Irving Berlin, Kenny Dorham and much more. It promises to be an entertaining evening of jazz standards.”
