Last chance to get Rock the Lake passes

A who’s who of Canadian classic rock acts is about to Rock the Lake this summer.

Excitement surrounds the inaugural Rock the Lake, Kelowna’s inaugural classic rock festival, taking place Aug. 12 to 14.

Due to demand, event organizers at Prospera Place are announcing that only 200 all-event passes remain for the weekend.

“Those not wanting to miss out on this one-of-a-kind event should purchase their tickets quickly as we anticipate selling out soon,” said Sean Bianchini, events and marketing manager at Kelowna’s Prospera Place.

A who’s who of Canadian classic rock acts will perform at Rock the Lake.

The event will take place outdoors at the Prospera Place parking lot.

“We’ve seen over the years Kelowna grow as a market that appreciates rock, Canadian rock in particular,” said RG Sports & Entertainment president Dave Dakers. “We’ve seen this market’s appetite grow for outside festivals, and we felt it was time to bring something that fit this market exactly.”

The concert line-up is as follows:

On Friday, Aug. 12 is Kick Axe, Prism, and Loverboy.

Aug. 13 is  Jerry Doucette, Lee Aaron, Harlequin, and Streetheart.

Aug. 14 features Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd, Saga, Headpins and Trooper.

The west parking lot of Prospera place, will have food, beverages and what promoters are calling a “generous in and out policy.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Select Your Tickets box office, online at www.selectyourtickets.com or by phoning 250-762-5050.
