Gearing up for their second release of 2013, Grande National on Aug. 27 to follow up their eighth studio recording Kicking The Can. Edmonton, AB’s favourite rock reggae quintet Stone Iris is now streaming their first single Hard To Stay Cool When.
Stone Iris will also be trekking across Canada and the U.S. for their second tour since May in promotion of Grande National, a 14-track voyage that takes listeners through a revival of blues and rock reggae doused in groove and North American nostalgia.
“This will be our second musical journey through North America this year. Touring so often away from our local scene has done nothing but fuel our appetite for adventure and elevation. We’re returning to many of our previous tour stops as well as many new cities. We will be on the road for 2 months going coast to coast,” said vocalist / guitarist El Niven.
“New music, merchandise and a groove-heavy evening featuring our one of a kind blues rock/reggae sound will be available at all of our shows.”
Stone Iris takes the stage at the Riverfront Pub in Grindrod, Friday Aug. 2 for a 19-plus show. Start time is approx. 8:30 p.m. No cover.
