The Clover Point Drifters will be performing April 26 in Coombs, a regular fixture at the Coombs Rodeo Grounds.
“They’ve been there at Coombs so many times they have a little plot of land named after them,” said organizer Linda Thorburn. “It’s called Clover Point.”
The Clover Point Drifters are a group of five seasoned bluegrass musicians from Victoria. Although they won’t be playing at the Coombs Bluegrass Festival this year, they will be playing at the Lighthouse Bluegrass Festival, which is happening June 27 through 30 in Qualicum Bay.
Tickets for the show next Friday are $12 or $20 for a couple. There will also be some “random acts of bluegrass” at the event, according to their poster, and if there’s enough interest there will be a jam following the performance, said Thorburn.
The rodeo grounds are located at 2601 Alberni Highway.
