Local artist Lisa Haerttrich (nee Giroux) will be presenting some of her art pieces at the Iron Horse Pub, starting at 3 p.m. on April 29 with the Wine, Cheese & Art Gathering.

“I’ve got four large saw blades in oil, and two large cotton wood slabs; one is a painting of steam engine, the other is a sled dog team in northern lights,” she says. “I’ll be bringing a painted long-horn skull, too.”

If there is space she will bring some of her canvas paintings.

Haerttrich has been painting for the past 20 years, and says she does everything from nature scenes and pets to portraits in different mediums of oil, acrylic, and watercolour.

She has also done commission work for people in this area.

“I hope people come and attend the show. It will be my first at the pub, although I have done shows in this area in the past; my most recent show was in Hope.”

A Parkside Art Gallery member, Haerttrich’s new business card will read Mona Lisa’s Gallery. Years ago, she and her mother Vivian Giroux owned Artistic Headhunters.
