Willing craftsmen supply expertise for the benefit of Kootenay Gallery

Over this past summer members of the USCC Men’s Group have been working hard to complete a project for the Kootenay Gallery of Art. The Gallery received a grant from the Castlegar Art’s Council through the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance to help fund the construction of 40 new display cases and the USCC Men’s Group agreed to build them.

More than 50 hours of donated labor went into sourcing materials, drawing up detailed plans and working together to build these beautifully crafted boxes. As Val Field, Executive Director of the Kootenay Gallery said, “We can’t say enough about how great it was working with this community-minded group of men. We are very happy with the final result and want to thank them for their very generous donation of the number of hours that went into this project.”
