Local musicians to reflect on CCR

Okanagan-Interior musicians are coming together to pay ode to Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Vernon Army Navy Airforce Hangar Nov. 21.

For those born on the bayou or know what a bad moon rising is, the upcoming concert Reflections of CCR will bring all those memories flooding back, and should bring a few new fans along the way.

A number of Okanagan-Interior musicians are coming together to pay ode to Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Vernon Army Navy Airforce Hangar Nov. 21.

“The show is a celebration of the music of CCR. Sing along, dance all night, take a stroll down memory lane. You are not going to want to miss this concert,” said singer Sabrina Weeks of award-winning blues band Swing Cat Bounce.

Joining Weeks to perform classic CCR tunes are Steve Soucy, Kelly Spencer of the Matadors, Marie Jackson of the Henry Small Band, Mike Hilliard of Swing Cat Bounce and Vernon’s own powerhouse singers Kath Raeber and Tanya Lipscomb.

“All these amazing vocalists will be backed by the Reflections band: Ed Hilliard, Terry Strudwick, Kelly Spencer and Mike Hilliard,” said Weeks. “The night will be filled with all your favourite Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.”

Tickets are available at the Bean Scene in Vernon, or online at www.sabrinaweeks.com/buy_tickets_reflections_of_ccr/#Vernon.

Doors to the show at the ANAF hall (2500 46th Ave.) open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
