There will be lots of musical entertainment for people to listen to and watch at the Harvest Fair this weekend.

The Jessie Chapin Band consists of Lyndon Froese on lead guitars, Kevin Epp on keyboard and accordion and Jessie Rajala Chapin on vocals and guitar.

From blues and swing to 60s and 70s, from soul-stirring gospel to biting satire, this brilliant trio’s seamless navigation of genre and spine-tingling blend of sounds will delight your ears and lift your spirits!

Lava Lamp and the Mood Poodles will also be there

Lava Lamp and the Mood Poodles are a band of local musicians who enjoy playing together weekly in a basement band.

There may be various people playing together at different times so they cover a wide range of music from classic rock to pop to country, often depending on who shows up.

The core of the band is Miles St. Amand on drums, Ken Yurema on bass, Diane Desilets on tambourine, Daniel St. Amand on guitar, and Nick Antifaeff on guitar.

Drum & Bell Tower with Brent Morton in a one-man band is a melodic and driving songwriting experiment offering commentary on political, environmental, and social realities.

Recordings and live shows are solo, putting to work voice, acoustic guitar, high-hat, and drum.

You may hear musical hints of artists like Beck, Neil Young the acoustic side of Zeppelin as the sounds range from mellow strum style to chopped and rocking riffery.

Albums include The Black Need (2008), Scratch Out Your Name (2010) and Burn Beneath the Water (2011).

Willow is an a cappella group consisting of Johanne Lebrun, soprano, Sandi Alaric, alto, and Sharon Hoffman, who sings somewhere in the middle.

They enjoy the freedom of playing unaccompanied, except for the occasional ukulele or tambourine or kazoo etc.

They sing medieval music, a lot of numbers from the 40s and pop tunes from bygone days.

They have been working together in this trio for a couple of years, but have sung together in other capacities for many years.

Having been involved with musical productions with Williams Lake Studio Theatre, they are also long-time members with Quintet Plus.

They invite people who are interested in singing, to come out to Quintet Plus, which starts up Sept. 14.
