Pack your lunch and enjoy a concert in the park this summer.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Aug. 6 to Aug. 29, up-and-coming singers and bands from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows will grace the stage in Memorial Peace Park to liven up your day.

This year’s lineup features an eclectic mix of genres from country and folk to soft rock and Celtic music.

Danielle Severinski and her band play today (Aug. 7). The Pitt Meadows teen has been singing since she was a child, honing her vocal chops at church. Severinski placed second in Youthink magazine’s B.C.’s Best Teen Contest this year and is currently recording a demo.

Hosted by the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association, Lunchtime Concerts in the Park take place from noon until 1 p.m.
