Cards will come out of thin air, hypnosis, levitation and disappearing items are all part of the magic of Scott Ward and Sean Watson. They have a stage show which is good, clean fun for the whole family and they are bringing Hypnoticillusions to the Edward Milne Community Theatre on March 19.
Combining comedy, mystery and amazement, the duo can win over any crowd. Sean Watson starts the show with a bang by performing his award-winning manipulation act done to high-energy music. The audience won’t want to blink their eyes. Some audience members will become part of the show as they are invited up on stage to participate in various new-age magical entertainment designed to generate hilarious fun and excitement.
While audience participation is exciting for those on stage, it’s even better for colleagues and guests laughing uncontrollably in their seats. Sean will amaze and mystify everyone with a wide variety of magical feats such as levitation, and making guests’ personal effects vanish and re-appear. Sean’s finale generates tremendous amazement from the audience as they witness an unbelievable illusion.
The show will then end with the highly anticipated hypnosis show performed by Scott Ward. Using the mystic power behind his eyes, his soothing voice and the sound of the drum and song to speak to your soul he lulls your spirit into a hypnotic place of safety and freedom during your induction. From here, your reality morphs and the freedom to be yourself explodes onto his stage where you are the star and free to express yourself!
Scott Ward is a Sooke resident and a former professional academic teacher and career counselor. He had more fun hypnotizing his students than teaching them and so it was inevitable he would become successful as North America’s first full time Native American stage hypnotist! Scott’s traditional native name is “Eagle Dog” which was given to him at the age of eight in a traditional ceremony in Manitoba by Elder Martin Highbear. This spiritually charged and talented showman started out wowing large crowds as a native hoop dancer, then on to capture a large following in hip hop music, and eventually found his calling providing wildly funny and entertaining hypnosis shows. Hypnotist Scott Ward is the receptacle of four generations of mystic native clairvoyance and spirituality. He follows his First Nations teachings and culture that he received from his “Kookum” or grandmother, his Father and his ancestors past. Scott respects his psychic gifts to see into the past and even to foresee the future.
With over 20 years magical experience in every type of venue in Canada, United States, Australia, Hong Kong and Brazil, Sean Watson has perfected his skills as a magician, but moreover as an “entertainer” – a real crowd pleaser. Sean has won great acclaim at venues such as the Las Vegas Hilton, MGM Grand Casino, Mandalay Bay and Carnival in Brazil.
“Neither of these guys is asking to be paid,” said Christina Holt, one of the organizers for the show.
