It’s almost time to saddle up for the 14th Annual Cariboo Country Night.

The Watch Lake/Green Lake Resort, Guest Ranch and Business Association fundraiser is nearly sold out and takes place at the Watch Lake Community Hall on Sept. 14, starting at 5 p.m.

“It’s about good times,” says organizer Mark McMillan.

A number of entertainers are expected to hit the stage, including The Hanson Family, Ernie Doyle and Leslie Ross, as well as cowboy poet Rae-Lee Fraser.

Admission is $25 per person and it includes a steak dinner.

“The entertainers get together on stage and basically have a jam session,” says McMillan, who’s been involved every year.

“That’s when the dance starts. The musicians are incredible – they can pick each other’s stuff up and just go with it. It turns into a really fun evening.”
