Mayworks Festival offers variety

Come celebrate working lives at the Errington Hall this Friday, featuring films, live music and true stories.

The Mayworks Festival event happens May 3 at 7:30 p.m. The evening starts with two short films from the 1970s, Spar Tree and Log Driver’s Waltz, shown on a real 16 mm projector. Singer/songwriter John McLachlan will be next, accompanied on some songs by Dr. Phil Harmonic’s Jug Band Orchestra. The second set starts with an original song commissioned for this event by Gerry Barnum, who  uses his considerable songwriting skills to tell the story of the Errington War Memorial Hall. Following Barnum is the headliner Trinitude.

Tickets are $15 at Cranky Dog, Heaven on Earth, and at the Errington Store.
