Young Canadian country singer/songwriter Jordan McIntosh will be performing with guest Keisja Cox of Courtenay on Thursday, July 21 at Filberg Park in Comox.
McIntosh’s goal always is to establish a genuine emotional connection with his audience. He draws from a wide range of influences including Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift along with greats such as Garth Brooks and Dwight Yoakam. His undeniable talents and genuine songwriting will Steal Your Heart and make you believe you Grew Up in a Country Song.
“My dad always had the country station on and I grew up listening to Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks and Dwight Yoakam, but I take different things from a lot of different artists,” said the Ontario-based MacIntosh. “I learn something from one, another thing from someone else and take any inspiration I can from them.”
McIntosh’s aim with every song he releases and every gig he plays is to establish a genuine emotional connection with his audience.
“My favourite songs are the ones I relate to the most, so I tend to sing about things I’ve experienced personally,” he added.
