Join us this Saturday, Feb. 13 from 1–3 p.m. for a chance to meet our current artist, Nancy Wilson, and talk about art and her inspirations at her artist meet and greet.

The title of our current exhibit is called, “Nancy Wilson’s Rainbow Originals”, which tells it all. Her exhibit will run until March 4, so make sure you stop by the gallery to see her collection of acrylic paintings on a variety of subjects, including local scenes, animals and flowers.

Days with the Arts

Days with the Arts are back, however with a twist. This year we are starting a co-operative arts fest, Solstice Arts Festival, and we are inviting all artists who are interested in taking part. If you are interesting in being involved at this year’s Days With the Arts studio tour during our first annual Solstice Arts festival in June, please contact the Rollin Art Centre.

We are currently looking for all artists/artisans who may be interested in having a table, display or demo set up on the grounds during the weekend’s event, June 17–19. Showcase all your work, have samples and spend the weekend creating in a beautiful setting.

Space is limited.

Art Rave seeks art

Art Rave, one of four organizations working under the umbrella of the Solstic Arts Festival in June, will be sponsoring an art show at The Rollin Art Centre. This will comprise original art that is for sale, and will run from June 17–30 as part of the Solstice Arts Festival.

Artists from all media are invited to submit work to the curators in a digital format, on or before March 18, to albernisolstice@gmail.com. Preference will be given to pieces 24” x 24” and smaller if the work requires inside display.

Exhibits are open

The Rollin Art Centre is now accepting applications to all visual artists and artist groups to submit an application to exhibit their work in our Fine Arts Gallery during the 2017 calendar year.

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your own art exhibit or group exhibit at the Rollin gallery. Application forms are available at the Rollin Art Centre.

Deadline is April 30, 2016.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, to Saturday. Call 250-724-3412.

Donate books

What a better way to help the Rollin Art Centre by donating all your gently used books. Rollin Art Centre is currently accepting any gently used books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles for their annual book sale, which will take place May 13–14.

Books can be dropped off at Rollin Art Centre just inside the main door, under the staircase in the big wooden box.

This is one of the Community Arts Council’s biggest fundraisers of the year to help to ensure our future in the Alberni Valley.
