An exhibition and reception featuring an array of art media from photography to encaustic work will be held at Island Exposures Gallery this Thursday.
The series is called Introducing… and gallery owner Craig Carmichael said the art work compliments each other nicely.
“I looked at their works together and thought it offered a really nice contrast for the gallery,” he said.
The artwork consists of Carmichael’s island photography, Nancy Day’s floral encaustics and giclee prints, Pat Scrivener’s earth toned collages and layered, painted abstracts and Lyndia Terre’s Ocean, sky, land graphite drawings and black and white original etchings. A reception this Thursday, Feb.10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. will see all the artists present to chat and answer any questions.
The exhibition, containing 22 pieces, will be on display at the gallery until Feb.24.
Island Exposures Gallery is located in the Heritage Mall at 11-1209 East Island Highway in Parksville.
