Mixed media opening at Rhodos Coffee

She is also a gifted instructor, and with her keen eye is able to transform her students' canvases to works of art.

Myshree Tsai is an award-winning artist in many media, including needle painting, acrylics, water colours and pastels.

She is also a gifted instructor, and with her keen eye is able to transform her students’ canvases to works of art.

One of the reasons for her success is her attention to detail. Her boundless enthusiasm keeps students motivated and learning is all done in a collegial, co-operative atmosphere.

Tsai’s watercolours have been exhibited internationally, and she received the People’s Choice Award at the Pearl Ellis Gallery last year for her needle painting.

Tsai and her students will celebrate the opening of Palettes, a collection of mixed media, at Rhodos Coffee (106-364 Eighth St. in Courtenay this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be live music, goodies, and Tsai and the artists will be on hand to greet you.
