Moving pictures on display at Imagefest 2017 in Courtenay

The Comox Valley Photographic Society presents Imagefest 2017

The Comox Valley Photographic Society presents Imagefest 2017, their seventh annual multimedia presentation at the Sid Williams Theatre in Courtenay at 7:30 p.m. April 21.

CVPS members have created slideshows of their finest images and set them to music; the most entertaining and inspiring of these shows have been chosen to highlight a variety of themes, including nature, wildlife, humour, portraiture as well as travel to both exotic and local destinations.

The Imagefest team is excited to announce that this year’s show will include a wonderful slideshow put together by photography students from Mark Isfeld Secondary School.

A print exhibit of framed images by club members will be on display in the lower foyer of the theatre during the intermission and before the show. Club members will be on hand to talk about their work.

“Imagefest is an opportunity for our members to display the breadth of their talent and creativity, while sharing their love of photography with the community,” said photographic society president Kerry Dawson.

The Comox Valley Photographic Society is an active photo club of more than 100 members of all ages who share a passion for the art and technology of digital photography, photo editing and education.

They meet twice monthly at the Little Red Church in Comox, and head out together on a variety of field trips and outings.
