Join the Gossip Corner Cafe’s inaugural music night on Friday, Jan. 20, and bring in the new year with new perspectives on music.
The free, all-ages show is the first of its kind for the cafe, but the organizers hope to make it a regular event to give exposure to local talent. Friday night’s gig will feature four local acts.
Headliner Nigel Briggs, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has been performing as a solo act since 2006. He brings a new perspective to the pop-rock genre with blues-driven riffs and a hint of progressive-rock influences.
Star Attraction features Kevin Morningstar and Jacob Gold, who performed together in various musical projects before combining their talents and love for rock and metal in a unique acoustic experience.
Dear Father, Ted Kim’s one-man acoustic folk-rock act, will bring a sound influenced by Thrice, City and Colour and The Fray.
Atlas to Earth, a multi-genre indie-folk music project led by Brett Janzen, is known for it’s free creative experimentation of genres and styles.
The venue will have a liquor permit for the event.
