Musicians ready to jam in Justice

The Marv Machura Band is the first featured artist at Vernon’s Jammin’ in Justice Wednesday, July 8.

Machura is a singer-songwriter in the rock-country-folk-roots tradition of singer-songwriters such as Ian Tyson, Neil Young, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Petty, John Cougar, Bruce Springsteen, etc.

In addition to publishing more than 20 songs in Nashville, Machura has released four CDs and has been played from coast-to-coast in Canada, the U.K., Europe, New Zealand, the U.S. and Australia.  He is known as an engaging live act who loves to share the joy of music with all audiences.

Originally from Edmonton, Machura has found a home for both himself and his music in the Okanagan Valley, where he performs regularly both as a solo performer and with his band.

Jammin’ in Justice, which starts this week and continues every Wednesday until Aug. 26, features lunchtime entertainment from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Justice Park, located at 30th Avenue and 28th Street.

Admission is free. Bring a lunch, a picnic, a lawn chair and/or blanket  and enjoy the music.
