Community organizations seeking a cash infusion to create or enhance their music programs for youth could get up to $25,000 to help purchase equipment.
The money is meant to help purchase musical instruments and equipment for community centres, after-school programs and other community non-profit organizations serving local communities for youth in under served communities to help organizations start or update an existing program.
The MusiCounts TD Community Music Grants program application deadline is May 15. Applicants must be a non-profit or registered charitable organization.
School music programs, individuals, private foundations, political organizations, athletic teams, research organizations, scholarship organizations and fundraising events are not eligible.
Applicants must show economic need, the number of youth impacted by the program, dedication of staff to manage the program and detail the overall impact the grant will make within the community.
