Mystery theatre benefits Mackenzie Camp

MacKenzie Camp will be presenting its annual fundraising dinner theatre Friday and Saturday at Saint Andrew’s United Church in Enderby.

MacKenzie Camp will be presenting its annual fundraising dinner theatre Friday and Saturday at Saint Andrew’s United Church in Enderby.

The long winter is coming to an end, and it’s time for a vacation, so fly off to – Hawaii: Five-Point-Oh.

“This funny, sunny, punny spoof on surfing the waves and the internet is sure to tickle everyone’s fancy,” states a release.

“There’s a mystery afoot, and Steve McCarrot is on the case, along with his sidekick, Lan Ho; meet a cast of (seems like) thousands at Ho’s Surf Shop and Internet Cafe. You’ll find Dawn Ho and her sisters; Jan and Dean; Gidget; Prince Kuhio and the Pineapple Princess; Mac A. Damia; and, of course, the King! Lots of music, laughter and audience participation, and of course you are encouraged to come in costume.”

Dinner starts at 6 p.m., with a pineapple sweet and sour chicken, rice pilaf and coleslaw supper, with Hawaiian upside-down cake for dessert.

The show follows at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors, or $10 for the show only.

Sunday is a dessert matinee at 2 p.m,, with the show at 2:30 p.m.. Tickets are $12 or $10 for show only.

“This show raises money for kids who can’t afford to go to camp, No kid should miss out on the wondrous experience of camping. Come on out and support this terrific cause, and have a great time on top of it all,” states the release.
