Nanaimo author Susan Juby wins B.C. Book Prize

NANAIMO - Nanaimo author Susan Juby wins the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature from B.C. Book Prizes.

Nanaimo author Susan Juby has won the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize during the 32nd annual B.C. Book Prizes Gala.

Nanaimo author Susan Juby has won the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize during the 32nd annual B.C. Book Prizes Gala.

Nanaimo author Susan Juby has garnered another writing award.

Juby won the Sheila A. Egoff Children’s Literature Prize, given to the best non-illustrated book written for children, for her book The Truth Commission. The award is one of seven given by B.C. Book Prizes.

Juby received the award during the Lieutenant Governor’s B.C. Book Prizes Gala held Saturday at Government House in Victoria.

Other winners included Alix Hawley, Briony Penn, Brian Brett, Raoul Fernandes, Annette LeBox and Susan Musgrave.

Alan Twigg was this year’s recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence.
