Nanaimo residents are invited to dance the night away during Club 256 Dance’s second annual free community dance.
The dance is Friday (Oct. 14) from 7-11 p.m. at the Mount Benson Royal Canadian Legion, located at 1630 East Wellington Rd.
“Everyone is welcome,” said John Maher, president of Club 256. “It’s our group’s way of giving back to the community.”
Dance teacher Sara Raymond will give a half-hour lesson in a dance called nightclub from 7-7:30 p.m. and dance teacher Ted Scarpino will teach the country two step from 8-8:30 p.m.
DJ Mark Pearce will spin tunes throughout the night.
