Retrospective show will draw from group's 12-year history

On April 14 the Island Consort Chamber Choir presents its spring program, Déjà vu: A Retrospective, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church.

Director Bruce Farquharson said the group has sung more then 270 works in 14 languages over its 12-year history, many only performed once.

“What I did was go back through each of the years that we performed and I’ve pulled one or two from each year,” he said of the program, adding that he aimed for a balance of eras and genres. “They’re all favourites, but I would call them ‘notable pieces.'”

Admission is $20 for adults and $5 for students. More information online.
