What’s up Kootenay massive? It’s your friendly Neighbour from Homebreakin Records. You can catch me at the Spirit Bar this Friday alongside local legend DJ Soup.

Expect a straight-up Pagoda style throwdown including pumped up disco treats, deep house groovers, smooth mixing, live guitar, and videomapped full-motion visuals.

It’s been a crazy year for the label. We’ve released a number of best-sellers including salvos from Australia’s Kreap, Vancouver’s Cyclist, and Dave Allison from Montreal.

Most recently the Neighbour – Purple Lights EP has been tearing up the charts, with remix support from Woodhead, Jon Delerious, and Nelson’s own bass-crunk-superhero Yan Zombie. My third winter tour to Brazil was again an amazing experience- I played at the country’s largest electronic music festival, Universo Paralello, as well as one of the country’s most celebrated nightclubs called Club Vibe in Curitiba.

It’s no secret that festival season is fast approaching- the raving schedule is starting earlier every year now, with boatloads of smaller festivals going on alongside the heavy hitters.

I’ll be at the following shows, come say ‘hi’ and challenge me to a dance battle, early morning badminton match, or nitrate-eating competition. Bushwacked (Vernon Area), Kootenanny (East Shore / Creston), Sync (Golden), Tall Tree Festival (Port Renfrew), The Kulth (Coombs), Astral Harvest (north of Edmonton), Bass Coast Festival (Squamish), and of course Shambhala. I’m going to be purchasing two thousand pairs of socks.

Free tracks, mixes, and other goodies are available at soundcloud.com/neighbour-homebreakin.

Keep supporting your local artists, and don’t forget to visit your favourite retailer and buy some music now and then!
