A new music festival is coming to Revelstoke Mountain Resort next weekend.
The Ember Music Festival aims to fill the void left by the cancellation of the Axis Mundi Festival, but on a much smaller scale.
Bend Sinister, an indie rock band from Vancouver, headlines the one-day festival, with support from The Royal Foundry, Scenic Route to Alaska and Devon Coyote.
The festival takes place outside the Revelation Lodge from 2–8 p.m. Local food and craft vendors will be on site.
Early bird tickets are $25 for adults and $19 for kids and seniors, and are on sale until Sept. 10. The price jumps to $29 and $24 respectively after that date.
The resort says they’ve added gravel to festival grounds to prevent it from turning into a mud bog like it did during last year’s Axis Mundi, which was nicknamed Axis Muddy as a result. There are contingency plans to move the festival in doors in case of bad weather.
