One of the many works on display at Pynelogs for their new show.

It is time again to introduce another Art show down at Pynelogs.

June 28 to July 10 will feature the works of Colin Bell, Vic Panei, Jim Robertson, Japhy Hunt, and Janet Assen.

The artist opening will take place on Wednesday June 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pynelogs.

The artist openings are a fun time to chat with the artists, visit with familiar faces or with new ones, and a chance to get an early look at the new show. Light snacks are provided and drinks are available, so why not spend your Wednesday evening sipping a glass of wine and checking out some great art? We would love to see you out.

Happy Canada Day! Remember that the Mountain Mosaic Festival of the Arts will be taking place July 1 down at Kinsmen Beach and will be an excellent addition to anyone’s Canada Day plans. The festival is for everyone and there will be fun activities for every age group. If you can catch the parade then just follow it on down to the beach and you will wind up at the festival! Activities will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. on the ground surrounding Pynelogs and will include things like the transformation station, mountain mosaics, bounce castles, the popular Cops for Kids boat building and race, and much more. Some great entertainment will also be provided such as the Aspire Dancers, Kootenay Baton Connection, clowns, and tons of other great events you will want to see. And of course what would a festival on the beach be without some good eats? There will be goodies such as bannock, hot dogs, taco salads, the ever delicious Scotty Burgers, cookies, candy apples, and cold drinks. The day promises to be one comprised of tons of fun so don’t miss out.

A draw will also take place on the day of the Festival for our Columbia Valley Arts Council membership at 2:40 p.m. The prize is a Tinhorn Creek Vineyards and Golf package that features two nights accommodation at the Tinhorn Creek Vineyards Guest house, dinner for two, and a round of golf with a cart at the Fairview Mountain Golf Club located in Oliver, B.C. A very special thanks to Tinhorn Creek Wines and Bob and Barn Shaunessy for making it possible to offer such a wonderful prize.

For any questions regarding the upcoming show, or about the Mountain Mosaic Festival, please give us a call at Pynelogs at 250-342-4423. We hope to see you out.
