The Rollin Art Centre needs your help. Book donations have been low, so please drop off all your gently used books for our annual giant book sale. Spring is fast approaching (at least I heard it’s coming) and what a better way to do a bit of spring cleaning; pay it forward by donating your books to this wonderful event.
Donations are needed to make this year’s event a success. We cannot take any textbooks, magazines, National Geographic, encyclopedia’s or Reader’s Digest. Drop off donations (newer books only) at the Rollin Art Centre, inside the main door, under the staircase, in the big wooden box. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
METAL ARTIST AT ROLLIN
“Steeling Nature” is the current exhibit at the Rollin Art Centre, featuring Alberni Valley artist Vittoria Doughy and her collection of outdoor metal artwork. Doughy showcases her love of nature, which she has captured in stainless steel. Her pieces consist of trees, herons, salmon and local landmarks of the Valley, such as the Martin Mars water bomber and even Hole in the Wall. The exhibit runs until March 31.
NEXT EXHIBIT AT ROLLIN
The Rollin Art Centre is excited to bring you our next art exhibit, featuring not one but two very talented artists, both unique in their own styles.
Rob Liberion and Klaus Joehle will be featured from April 6 until April 29.
Liberion will showcase his collection of soapstone carvings, wood carvings, pen and ink drawings, oil paintings and glass etchings while Joehle, a mosaic artist, will have his collection of mosaic pieces.
Their artist reception will take place Saturday, April 8 from 1-3 p.m. in the gallery.
