Summer is here, and Spirit Square enters its busy season of activities and music, beginning on Monday evening.
The “NIGHTB4” is country music night, and this year Vancouver’s hottest young band is in town.
Me and Mae, a five-piece rocking outfit, will play a concert from 7-9 p.m., and they’re guaranteed to get you up dancing.
Wear your best cowpoke duds and you might win a prize from Ridgerider. Kids too!
Come down early at 5:30 p.m. for the Grieg Seafood Salmon Barbecue, a fundraiser for Canada Day, and you can also check out the Tyee Chev/Olds Chevy Car Show, with all kinds of attractions for the auto buffs.
The very next day is Canada Day, with the Local All Star Stage giving you a taste of great Campbell River talent from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Don’t forget the River Concert Series which begins on Thursday evening, July 3, with local rockers Reunion. Come out every Thursday evening in July and August for fabulous free musical entertainment.
Bring your lawn chairs and bring the kids. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Also watch out for the Campbell River Mirror Charity Jazz and Blues Weekend in mid-July for three nights of world class artists.
