Norden the Magician declared 2016 Children’s Entertainer of the Year.

Norden won the FVMC award in 2014 in a duo act with his business partner Gordon – apply named Norden and Gordon.

The Fraser Valley Magic Circle (FVMC) hosted it’s fifth annual Children’s Entertainer of the Year competition during the Mission Children’s Festival in June.

Last year’s winner and current president of the FVMC, Chris Yuill, presided over the show/competition along with six performers from the club.

A mix of professional magicians, adults, and kids, were the judges. The contestants have a strict 10 minute time frame to showcase their talents and engage the audience. When the dust had settled, Norden the Magician was declared the 2016 Children’s Entertainer of the Year.

Norden won the FVMC award in 2014 in a duo act with his business partner Gordon apply named Norden and Gordon.

““Winning with a duo act was amazing. You would think it would be easier with someone to lean on, but timing is so much more important with a partner,” said Norden. “This year I went back to my original routines and it worked well. The crowd was great and it was a privilege to win.”

Norden has been a children’s magician for the past decade and has competed, and won, various competitions.

In fact, Norden is now the most decorated children’s entertainer in Canada.

Norden says he will be traveling to Iowa next year to represent B.C. and Canada in the USA Children’s Magician of the Year contest.
