The Okanagan Artists of Canada, formerly the Okanagan Artists’ League, is holding its annual spring show, The Okanagan Art Splash, at the Best Western Vernon Lodge next weekend.

Consisting of a group of artists residing in the Okanagan, the OAC endeavors to provide local artists, whether they are beginner, intermediate or advanced, opportunities to learn new techniques, improve their work, and exhibit their art in an annual exhibition.

The OAC meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Vernon Community Arts Centre located at the entrance of Polson Park.

“Guest speakers at our meetings discuss a variety of art related subjects or demonstrate painting techniques,” said member Ria Carpay.

The OAC’s Okanagan Art Splash takes place Saturday, May 4 from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
