O’Keefe adds Vernon event to Halloween roster

O’Keefe Ranch is bringing back their extremely popular Family Daze Corn Maze for one extra appearance this Saturday

By popular demand, O’Keefe Ranch is bringing back their extremely popular Family Daze Corn Maze for one extra appearance this Saturday, Oct. 29.

The daytime event which runs between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. will include pony rides, decorated spooky buildings for the kids and free tractor rides. Picnic tables and a bonfire are provided, along with food concessions, which enable participants to experience some very special family outdoor Halloween fun.

“When we started our Family Daze event four years ago, we did not imagine how much fun we would have with it and how many families would be able to enjoy the corn maze,” said Glen Taylor, O’Keefe Ranch general manager. “This event has become something that families look forward to all year long.”

The two mazes, while set decorated for the evening activities, do not have the actors, music, sound effects, fog or cover of darkness that lends to the thrills and chills of the evening maze. However, the scenes and props can be intense for some children and parent’s discretion is advised.

Taylor is proud of the family event that has been created that brings out hundreds of families every year from the North Okanagan.

Families are invited to enjoy both mazes for a day time fee of $30 for a family of five or $10 per adult and children under five are free.
