O’Keefe Ranch opens for Victorian Christmas

Experience a traditional Christmas like it used to be when O’Keefe Ranch hosts its popular annual Victorian Christmas on Dec. 8 and 9.

Go back in time and experience a traditional Christmas like it used to be when O’Keefe Ranch hosts its popular annual Victorian Christmas on Dec. 8 and 9.

“This year we are very excited to announce a treasure hunt for the whole family with some great prizes for the first, second and third place winners,” said O’Keefe Ranch manager Glen Taylor.

Other highlights include a tour of the O’Keefe mansion decorated in Victorian Christmas style and  some great entertainment. Special guests include the Kal Secondary School Choir, Rob Dinwoodie, St. James School Choir, The Chilly Creekers, and others.

“You can get warm and toasty with chestnuts roasted over an open fire or you can listen to carols and hymns in St Anne’s Church,” said Taylor, adding visitors can bundle up and enjoy a tractor ride, roast some marshmallows around the fire, and bring their toboggans if there’s snow.

The general store will be serving hot chocolate, spiced cider and baked goodies, and visitors can also get their pictures taken with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus at the mansion.

The event happens both days, Dec. 8 and 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is a family friendly rate of $20 or $6 per person. For more information call 250-542-7868 or visit okeeferanch.ca
