The opening reception for fall exhibitions at The Reach will include a free From Russia with Love concert, sponsored by Columbia Kitchen Cabinets-Countertops.

The event, on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m., will feature violinist Calvin Dyck and pianist Betty Suderman.

The music will complement the exhibit By Land and Sea (Prospect and Refuge) by Fraser Valley-born, Vancouver-based artist Marian Penner Bancroft.

The works charts the journeys of her father’s Mennonite family from what is now the Ukraine, and her mother’s Presbyterian farm family from northern Scotland.”

Calvin Dyck and Betty Suderman will feature favorite compositions including: Dark Eyes, Nun ist Erschienen, Somewhere my Love from Dr. Zhivago and Wehrlos & Verlosen, amongst others.

Guest at the event will also enjoy the openings of other exhibits: Betwixt and Between, featuring sculptures by Alberta artist Jude Griebel and paintings by fellow Albertan Jude Holst; Between Madness and Delight with artist Marcia Pitch; and heritage exhibition Chinese Legacies: Building the Canadian Pacific Railway from the Revelstoke Museum.
