OSO joins Opera Kelowna for Amahl

Symphony and opera company collaborate for Amahl and the Night Visitors

The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra and Opera Kelowna are collaborating to bring Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors for two family matinees Sunday at Kelowna’s Rotary Centre for the Arts.

“We are really looking forward to working with Opera Kelowna for this afternoon of story-telling, incredible costumes, and our very own professional orchestra musicians collaborating together for this popular classic,” said OSO music director Rosemary Thomson.

The fun musical tells the magical story of a young boy trying to make his way in the world with humanity, community, fun and a beautiful miracle that will delight the whole family.

Shows take place at 2 and 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Call 250-717-5304 or visit okanagansymphony.com.
