Park concerts wrap up Thursday evening

The final evening for Performances in the Park starts this Thursday evening at 6 p.m.

The final evening for Performances in the Park starts this Thursday evening at 6 p.m. with Robyn Ferguson and Oren Barter singing and playing a number of cover songs and their original songs in many genres.

Ferguson and Barter are returning for their fourth year at Performances in the Park.

While these two spend all year busy elsewhere, they always look forward to returning to the Gwen Pharis Ringwood stage in Boitanio Park each summer to support the community they love.

Drum and Bell Tower with Brent Morton takes the stage at 7 p.m. making politicized harmonic introspection, just a little slower than you walk.

Morton has released five full length records as Drum and Bell Tower since moving to the Cariboo in 2007.

Once again there will be a farmer’s market and various other vendors setting up in the park from 5 p.m.

Fresh produce and products will be available from Road’s End Vegetable Company, Puddle Produce, Windy Creek Farm, Cariboo Fruit Stand, as well as displays by Walk-Rite Shoes, BFF Fashions, Paper Airplane, Piece of Home, Barefoot Books, Cariboo Fruit Stand and more.  Cody‘s Bannock, Smashin’ Smoothies and Taylor Made Cakes will be on hand with snacks available for everyone during the performances.

The Community Arts Council of Williams Lake is offering a Kids’ Arts Corner from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kids and their parents have the opportunity do neat crafts like rock painting, paper airplanes and other projects during the performances.
