Parksville’s Music Cafe applies to amend existing liquor licence

Business plans to introduce patron participation such as dancing, singing and karaoke

The Music Cafe in Parksville is one step closer to allowing patron-participant activities.

The Music Cafe’s application for a proposed addition of an entertainment endorsement to their existing food-primary liquor licence will proceed to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) with a resolution of “no objection” from Parksville city council.

Public notices were placed in print editions of PQB News on Aug. 5 and Aug. 12, 2020, and the required notice signage was confirmed to be on the Music Cafe’s property as of Jan. 4.

The public comment period was open until 4 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2021, with no comments received by Parksville city staff.

As per the report sent to council, the Music Cafe, located at 2-631 Island Highway, plans to introduce patron participation such as (including, but not limited to) dancing, singing and karaoke.
