Elessar Thiessen and Clayton Parsons are taking over the Tractorgrease Cafe on Thursday.

Born and raised in the heart of Canada, Thiessen was naturally drawn to music. He had his first guitar at eight years old, and has been playing and writing ever since.

His latest soul/rock full-length album A Rainy Week in Paradise (2015) exposes longing, angst agony and fear, and comes through it all with hope and joy. When he’s not performing, this singer-songwriter is working as a studio producer, sipping a spirit or surfing some waves.

Clayton Parsons of Cranbrook is wrapping up his debut album Little Things (2016), inspired by home. The folk/alternative album holds stories of fishing rivers, summer nights and absorbing all the little things that live life substance.

Parsons builds a connection through honest lyrics, personal experiences, and storytelling to his live audiences.

Thiessen and Parsons are at the Tractorgrease Cafe (48710 Chilliwack Lake Rd.) July 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each available at 604-858-3814 or tractorgrease@gmail.com.
