We have an exciting substitution for the originally scheduled artist this Thursday for Performances in the Park.
Blocktreat is a slow burn of electronic, acoustic, and natural textures. Brandon Hoffman plays effects-drenched mandolin and a suitcase of electronics, while Brent Morton plays drums.
As nostalgic as it is futuristic. Blocktreat has played stages like Vancouver International Jazz Festival and ArtsWells Festival of All Things Art, and been featured on publications like Vice Noisey, CBC, and Indie Shuffle – blocktreat.ca
Lucier and Friends play Métis based Country Music at 7 pm. There is nothing like Fiddle and Guitar playing Métis style tunes to make your body move.
There will be an Art in the Park kid’s corner, hosted by the Community Arts Council of Williams Lake as in previous seasons providing art projects for the little ones.
Arty the Art Walker will be on site as part of the 2016 Art Walk and Sale.
New this year is ‘Downtown Discount Daze’ offered by select businesses in the downtown core from 3 p.m. until closing prior to each Performances in the Park concert.
