Saturday, Bailey Theatre, 2 p.m. Teck Kids Series presents Purple Pirate’s Magic Pirate Ship. All aboard, the Purple Pirate is hunting for treasure and needs a crew.

Saturday, Royal Theatre, 9:55 a.m. Met Opera Live presents Verdi’s Nabucco. The legendary Plácido Domingo brings another new baritone role to the Met. Grans to Grans will be on site selling goodies, all proceeds to the Stephen Lewis Foundation that supports African grandmothers raising their orphaned grandchildren due to HIV/Aids.
